In 1977 Francesco Nuvolari graduated with a degree in architecture from the University of Florence and earned his accreditation as an art historian in 1989. His artistic research is fuelled by his immense passion for the sky in all its changeable manifestations: the union of architectural and celestial elements becomes the cornerstone of his photographic language. Over the years, Nuvolari has put out numerous books with prestigious publishers such as Arsenale, Electa, Mondadori and Laterza (Bari). He has staged important events to promote the culture and historic legacy of Italy in France as well as the United States, collaborating with the Italian Consulate General in Philadelphia, the Italian Consulate in Pittsburgh, the Italian Institute of Culture and Columbia University in New York. In 2004 he was curator for the Sensi Contemporanei at the Venice Biennale and four years later he was named president of the Italian Arts and Cultural of London.
